Ashridge

To help advise on the demolition of an aged dwelling and replace with new vernacular designed replacement home, built in a sylvan enclave of the local forest.  Our role was from scheme design through planning to detailed design and tendering.  We have last year been back to help the next owners of the property effect a large two storey side extension.

The house design was put forward for a Brick Design Award, and the local National Trust commented upon its success in the setting.

Wittering

A local long standing client engaged us to build a new home on the sea front at the Witterings, comprising timber frame structure, clad in western red cedar clapboard, cedar roof shingles, and copper guttering. The house was finished in a New Foundland style, a nod back to the sites history as a Canadian post office name.  The house featured in Channel 4`s programme, Homes by the Sea, hosted by the renowned architect Charlie Luxton.
